Average customer review:Product Description
This "nimble" guide to the work of best-selling author J. K. Rowling takes advantage of the unique capabilities of electronic publishing technology to provide the latest news about the author and her works, updated whenever there are significant developments. Unlike a conventional book, for which editions are printed in quantity every couple of years, this "living book" goes through frequent "mini-editions" and is printed fresh whenever customers place an order. This version was most recently updated May 5, 2006.

Editorial Reviews
From the Author
As research for this book, I read:
* Every on-line chat that J. K. Rowling has ever done.
* Hundreds of news articles mentioning the quoted phrase "Half-Blood Prince" in a leading news warehouse and more hundreds of articles identified by Google News as mentioning the quoted phrase "Half-Blood Prince."
* Hundreds of blogs mentioning the quoted phrase "Half-Blood Prince" in the blog search engine Feedster.
* Hundreds of posts on dozens of Potter-related websites. * Dozens of trademark applications at the UK and US patent offices.
* Numerous biographies and critical works about J. K. Rowling.
* And, of course, the entire series to date!
This book contains the results of my research. Over the years and especially after publication of "Half-Blood Prince", J. K. Rowling and others have let slip quite a bit of information about the series. I think I was able to pull together a lot of interesting information. You will notice that there are many quotations and that wherever possible I have provided an "attribution"—that is, I have identified author, title, date, and place of publication (often Internet). That way, you can judge for yourself whether my sources are solid.

Un-satisfied
I was a little turned off by the religious beliefs being front & center on this book. I wanted to get right in to the theory & speculation over what had happened & what would happen. There were some redeming tid-bits, but overall it was a struggle for a muggle like me.
Unauthorized Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows News:Harrry Potter Seven and Half-Blood Prince Analyis
I enjoy the book. The way the author try to explain book seven might be written and also how explain what would happen to harry and ever oone elsein the book.
Where are the predictions?
I was extremely disappointed in this book. Easily 80% of it is an analysis of book 6. I have book 6, I've read book 6. There are exactly 6 pages of predictions about book 7. Pales in comparison to Defogging the Future, which is nothing but predictions based on evidence from the other books. This book might be more correctly called Book 6.
